About

Hi,and welcome to the Port Bikes story.Having had an interest in all things bike related for many years, primarily riding them but also developing a fairly decent knowledge of the mechanical aspect of bikes as i went. This served me well during the many years of cycling and triathlon events i've taken part in,including long distance triathlons such as Ironman,Outlaw and Celtman so I know a thing or two about how bikes should actually feel and perform outside the workshop.

I started servicing and repairing bikes in 2018, primarily as favours to my bike riding friends, to develop my knowledge further i gained a Level 2 IMI Bike Technician qualifaction from Bike Inn in Cumbria, one of the most reputable and respected bike tech. training centres in the UK.I also carry out regular modular training through Shimano T.E.C. and stay updated on the latest equipment and bike trends. This gave me the confidence to start my own bike repair business. I have also provided race mechanic services and race support at several well known events including the aforementioned Celtman and London-Paris road race events.

Over the last few years i have gained a reputation of being friendly, knowledgable, professional and trustworthy, borne out by the many positive reviews across all social media and online platforms, just look for yourselves.

Get in touch if you need your bike serviced or repaired at competitive prices and by a competent, fully trained and insured mechanic. I have also recently underwent bike fitting courses at Bike Inn and hope to provide bike fitting services in the very near future
